I.S.M.A.A would like to start or advance you on your Karate / Martial Arts journey. Whether it just being fitness or achieving black belt, or becoming an international competitor.
I.S.M.A.A are a well established club. Through the years we have had over 70 students achieve their black belt, many of which have gone further achieving 2nd, 3rd and 4th Dan.
I.S.M.A.A compete at local and international level karate competition's being very successful in both. Whatever your aim, we will be able to help you achieve your goals. Whether it being to compete at international level or achieve black belt, teach you own classes, or even just to lose a bit of weight.
Did you know karate is the second most cardio vascular sport? That's a real lesson not the fitness themed karate sessions, so it's one of the best ways to keep fit as well as look after yourself.
Our Chief Instructor is Kyoushi Shaun Lanham 7th Dan, who has a wealth of experience including 30yrs of Martial Arts. In 2019 Kyoushi Shaun was appointed a position in the Nmac England Squad as a coach which he still does today. He led 16 students from our ISMAA and MBMAA squad to win 81 European Championship medals and now has 11 Gold World Champions who won them in Daytona beach Florida in 2023.

ISMAA are proud to say 6 of our squad (above) have have WON GOLD medals including Chief Instructor Kyoushi Shaun Lanham 7th Dan and Sensei Victoria Shurey 3rd Dan of Armada-do Karate at the World Championships in Florida Daytona Beach in July 2025.

- Our personal dojo website is for every student to enhance their karate training.
- The link below will give you access to all the kata's, line work, kihon's and ohyo kumites that you need for your gradings.
- There is a small fee but its a must to have along side your training

I.S.M.A.A are non political organisation, we have a £10m student to student cover and are very competitivley priced.
We can give you as much help or as little help as you need.

Ismaa are pleased to announce we have achieved the Safeguarding Code, we feel its very important for our students to feel safe whilst training with us. we have our very own safeguarding officer Anne Klemz who is one of our student, also Head of 6th form at Talbot Heath Girls school and safeguarding officer to the EKF.
