I have been a Karateka for 30 years now, with Sensei Shaun and ISMAA. During that time, I set-up and ran West Moors Karate Club, and the Alila Club in Penang, Malaysia.
As designer engineer within international company I have been fortunate to travel the world, spending much time in Asia including China, India and Japan where I developed a keen interest in the spiritual side or martial arts.
I truly believe Karate and marital arts provides many benefits and valuable life skills, including discipline, focus and perseverance.
The Art and ISMAA Club has been a big part of my life and helped me through difficult times, which I owe to Shaun. I have a real passion for coaching, teaching and development of students and am so thankful to have been part of many students journey to Black belt and beyond
