My martial arts journey started when I was around 12 years old after being heavily influenced by films like Enter The Dragon.
I started off training Lau Gar Kung Fu which I did for a few years whilst living in Bristol.

When my parents decided to up sticks and head to Devon. I had a break before joining Taekwondo which I continued to practice for many years. When my son Isaac was born, I was keen to involve him in sport and was delighted when he expressed an interest in doing Karate.

After a few months of watching him train with Sensei Shaun I thought enough is enough and I need to get off my backside and join in, that was 8 years ago. Since then, I have gone on to represent Team GB at World Games and became triple TYGA World Champion at Crystal Palace in 2019.

Covid sadly brought my competing to a halt due to an injury from riding my mountain bike so I started to give something back by helping Sensei Shaun as a part of the coaching team. It gives me a huge amount of pleasure teaching and seeing the students grow, enjoy develop in our sport.
